Genesis to Operate Largest Brand Space at Busan International Film Festival
Operating from September 18 to 25
Genesis announced that it will operate the largest brand space among sponsors during the Busan International Film Festival, which begins on September 18.
The brand space, "Genesis Public Booth," will be open from September 18 to 25 and consists of four main sections: Cine Library, The Sound Track, Interview Room, and Cinematic Studio. The space is designed to allow visitors to naturally and broadly experience both the film festival and the Genesis brand through a variety of content.
The Cine Library is a place where visitors can relax and read. It features a curated selection of books themed around film, including works related to director Park Chanwook's opening film "No Other Choice," major award-winning films, and previous Busan International Film Festival selections.
The Sound Track section is designed for guests to listen to original soundtracks from various classic films on LP records, allowing them to recall the emotions they felt while watching those movies. The Interview Room and Cinematic Studio are spaces where visitors can create memories with Genesis and the film festival through interview videos and photos.
On September 17, the day of the festival’s opening ceremony, Genesis also operated the backstage area "The Scene," where directors, actors, and other attendees stayed before heading to the red carpet. Highlights from this area are produced as short-form content in a brief and impactful format.
A Genesis representative stated, "We see this as an opportunity to demonstrate our genuine commitment to film and the arts," adding, "We will continue to enrich our brand philosophy through ongoing engagement with culture and the arts."
Genesis has been the official sponsor of the Busan International Film Festival, the largest film festival in Asia, since 2017. This year as well, the company is providing more than 100 vehicles for official use and supporting the festival’s development fund.
