View original imageThis event, now in its fourth year, is held once a month under the subtitle 'White Shirt Brown Bag Meeting.' Each month, heads of local government, industry, academia, and research institutions gather to share the city’s vision and strategies.
At the meeting, key leaders from Busan City, corporations, research institutes, and the financial sector attended to discuss not only development plans for new growth areas such as smart aquaculture, marine semiconductors, and marine biotechnology, but also strategies for pioneering the Arctic route and related research and development initiatives following the relocation of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries.
The event was attended by President Bae Sanghoon of Pukyong National University; Sung Hee-yeop, Deputy Mayor for Future Innovation of Busan City; Seo Jongwoo, Policy Planning Advisor; Bae Jeongcheol, President of the Korea Research Institute of Ship and Ocean Engineering; Lee Heeseung, President of the Korea Institute of Ocean Science and Technology; Kim Minsu, CEO of Gijang Mulsan; Park Yongjun, CEO of Samjin Foods; Kim Hyunggyun, President of Busan Technopark; Lee Hannyung, Director of the Busan Branch of the Bank of Korea; Seo Jonggun, President of the Busan Technology Startup Investment Institute; Lim Junghwan, Director of the Financial Supervisory Service; Lee Dohyun, CEO of AD Fisheries; Kang Daeun, Secretary-General of the Global City Tourism Promotion Organization; and Hwang Euicheol, CEO of Marine Drone Technology, making a total of 14 participants.
