[Market Focus] IGene Hits New Low on 32 Billion Won Shareholder Rights Offering
IGene is showing weakness in early trading.
As of 9:05 a.m. on September 17, IGene was trading at 2,490 won, down 10.43% (290 won) from the previous day. During the session, the price fell to 2,370 won, marking a new 52-week low.
The decline is interpreted as a reaction to the company's announcement after the market closed the previous day of a rights offering worth 32 billion won to raise operating funds, which affected investor sentiment.
The rights offering will be conducted through a shareholder allocation followed by a public offering of forfeited shares, with 16.2 million new common shares to be issued at 1,980 won per share.
