Yeoju Insect Museum Popup Store Extended Until October 12
Free Admission for Around 1,000 Children Through Local Partnerships
Lotte Mall Dongbusan has announced that, due to the great popularity of the "Yeoju Insect Museum" popup store-which has attracted over 30,000 cumulative visitors since August-the event's closing date will be extended from September 14 to October 12.
This popup store, organized in collaboration with the Yeoju Insect Museum, the largest insect exhibition hall in Korea, offers a variety of experiences including displays of popular insects such as rhinoceros beetles and stag beetles, rare specimen exhibitions, and ecological education programs.
During the operation period, tens of thousands of visitors have attended, providing both children and parents with an educational and enjoyable experience.
In addition, Lotte Mall Dongbusan and the Yeoju Insect Museum plan to collaborate with relevant organizations to provide free admission opportunities to around 1,000 children as part of their efforts to support the local community. Through this initiative, they aim to broaden cultural and educational experiences and contribute to the emotional development of local children.
Yoon Hyungjin, Store Manager of Lotte Mall Dongbusan, stated, "We have extended the operating period so that children can enjoy a special experience with their families," adding, "We will continue to grow together with the local community and consistently present differentiated cultural content."

The Yeoju Insect Museum, located in Yeoju, Gyeonggi Province, houses over 2,000 rare insect specimens from Korea and abroad. It has established itself as an educational space where children and teenagers can learn about the ecology and importance of insects in an engaging way through a variety of programs, including live insect experiences, ecological observation, and expert explanations.
