Hwacheon County Offers Diverse Youth Programs: Pro Basketball Viewing and Musical Performances
Sanae Youth Culture Center to Host Basketball Game Viewing in Wonju on September 20
Interactive Storytelling at Public Libraries, Magic Show at Community Center
Hwacheon County in Gangwon Province is offering a variety of cultural experience programs for youth this autumn.
First, the Sanae Youth Culture Center will host the "Let's Go with the Culture House" program on September 20, where participants will watch the professional basketball game between Wonju DB and Suwon KT at the Wonju Gymnasium in Wonju.
This event will be attended by 30 youth, from third grade elementary to third grade high school students, who registered in advance on a first-come, first-served basis.
The Hwacheon Children's Library and Sanae Library will hold an interactive storytelling event titled "Red Fan, Blue Fan" on September 21.
The storytelling sessions will be held separately at 2:00 p.m. for children aged 5 to 7, and at 3:00 p.m. for students in grades 1 to 3 of elementary school.
In addition, Hwacheon County's public libraries will host a special September program called "Chuseok Playground at the Library in Advance" on September 20 at Sanae Library and on September 27 at Hwacheon Children's Library.
The Hwacheon Community Center will also present a unique performance.
The center will stage the "Global Variety Magic Show - Tierra" in its basement performance hall at 7:00 p.m. on September 23.
About 170 children and their families who registered in advance on a first-come, first-served basis are expected to attend the show.
Prior to this, the Hwacheon Community Center also held a traditional creative children's musical performance on September 16.
