Seven-Vehicle Pileup Near Ttukseom Station in Seoul Sends Six to Hospital with Injuries
At approximately 6:56 p.m. on September 14, 2025, a seven-vehicle pileup occurred near Ttukseom Station in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, injuring six people.
According to police and other sources, a Rexton SUV driven by a man in his 20s, identified as Mr. A, crashed into a vehicle waiting at a traffic signal near the intersection heading from Ttukseom Station toward Seongsu Station. This triggered a chain collision involving five vehicles, including the Rexton, and two motorcycles.
As a result of the accident, one motorcycle rider suffered a serious injury, losing a finger. Five other drivers, excluding Mr. A, sustained minor injuries and were transported to the hospital.
No signs of alcohol or drug use were detected in Mr. A.

The police believe the accident was caused by Mr. A's gear-shifting error and have booked him on charges of injury under the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Settlement of Traffic Accidents.
