This project, introduced for the first time this year by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, aims to improve the residential environment and attract new residents by utilizing around 10 vacant houses in rural areas. Another key objective is to ensure operational sustainability by expanding private sector participation.
With the vision of "Byeongyeongchanga, where life and travel coexist," the county plans to establish community facilities and shared spaces for residents, as well as tourism, cultural, and startup spaces that reflect the unique characteristics of the region.
Gang Jinwon, the county governor, stated, "Through governance involving the administration, residents, and experts, we will ensure that Byeongyeong-myeon becomes a model for rural vacant house regeneration."
