Former Dorim High School Building in Incheon to Be Transformed into Youth-Specialized Facility... Construction Begins in December
The remodeling project to transform the former Dorim High School building in Dorim-dong, Namdong-gu, Incheon, into a youth-specialized facility will begin in December 2025.
The Incheon city government began design services last year and is currently in the final stages. With a total project cost of 24.3 billion won, the facility is scheduled for completion in the first half of 2028.
The city plans to equip the facility with specialized spaces and equipment so that young people can engage in a wide range of activities, including career exploration, culture and arts, science and information, and environmental programs. The main building will be five stories tall, and the annex will have three stories, transforming the site into a creative cultural space exclusively for youth.
The main building will feature virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) experience zones, robotics and coding rooms, a multipurpose workshop, a filming studio, and a dance practice room. The annex will be designed as a cafe, library, and small gymnasium, creating a complex space that can be used not only by young people but also by all citizens.
