Yangju City in Gyeonggi Province will begin accepting applications for the '2025 Gyeonggi-do Athletes Opportunity Income' from September 15 to November 28, targeting athletes residing in the city.

View original imageThe 'Athletes Opportunity Income' program is a joint initiative with Gyeonggi Province that aims to provide fair compensation for athletes' contributions to social value, while also encouraging the continuation of athletic activities and the spread of social value.
Selected athletes will receive an annual opportunity income of 1.5 million won after verification of submitted documents and an assessment of their income and assets.
Eligible applicants include current athletes, coaches, referees, athlete managers, and sports administration staff who are 19 years or older, reside in Yangju City, and have a personal recognized income at or below 120% of the median income.
Applications can be submitted online or via mobile through the Gyeonggi-do Integrated Civil Service Portal, 'Gyeonggi Minwon 24.' Those who prefer to apply in person can do so at the Youth Sports Division of Yangju City Hall. Detailed information on the application process is available on the public notice board of the Yangju City Hall website.
