In a statement issued on the 10th, they expressed regret, saying, "The delayed reopening of Muan International Airport is not merely a matter of facility restoration, but represents a collapse of trust in the national aviation policy and a deprivation of air transportation rights for residents in the southwestern region."
They strongly demanded three key actions: a thorough investigation into the Jeju Air accident, transparent disclosure of the restoration work and the need for local consultation, and a comprehensive normalization plan led by the central government.
