Pediatric Cancer Support Project Using the Woori Love Fund
Up to Six Months' Rent Provided for Families of Young Patients
Woori Bank announced that it will launch the "Our Home in Front of the Hospital" program, which provides housing support for children with pediatric cancer, using the Woori Love Fund created through voluntary donations from its employees.
This initiative was established to ease the housing burden for children with pediatric cancer and their families who must stay in Seoul for extended periods for treatment while residing in other regions. Woori Bank will provide rental support for up to six months so that families can live in a stable environment during the treatment period. In particular, the bank plans to prioritize families from vulnerable groups to offer practical assistance.
The "Our Home in Front of the Hospital" program goes beyond simple living expense support, aiming to create an environment where children can focus on treatment and recovery. Through this, the program is expected to alleviate the financial burden on families and contribute to the psychological stability of the children.
A Woori Bank representative said, "The Woori Love Fund is establishing itself as a comprehensive support system that not only provides one-time assistance but also cares for the overall well-being of children with pediatric cancer and their families," adding, "We will continue to expand our support to various areas, including treatment costs and psychological counseling fees."
