This inspection was organized to check the management of worker safety and health regarding the use of hazardous machinery such as brush cutters and chainsaws, as well as seasonal risk factors including heat waves and bee stings.
On site, the Safety and Health Management Officer directly checked the following: whether safety devices on brush cutters were functioning, whether workers were wearing protective equipment, the management of the brush cutting work process, and the implementation of measures to prevent heat-related illnesses.
In addition, the city decided to listen to workers' difficulties and suggestions related to safety and health through on-site communication, and to review how these can be reflected in improvements to systems and working environments.
Yangju City plans to continue conducting regular and ad hoc inspections based on the Serious Accidents Punishment Act and the Industrial Safety and Health Act, faithfully fulfilling its legal obligations to ensure safety and health in the workplace.
