Changwon Special City in South Gyeongsang Province announced on September 8 that it will offer a special ferry fare discount for Changwon residents and others until the end of December, in cooperation with Dotsum Happy Land, the operator of the Dotsum ferry, to attract more tourists to Dotsum Island.
The discount applies to: ▲Changwon residents ▲tourists visiting on their birthday ▲tourists who revisit after uploading a photo taken on Dotsum Island to social media. The round-trip ferry fare, which is currently 12,000 won for adults, will be available at a 25% discounted rate of 9,000 won. Visitors can receive the discount by presenting identification or other documentation at the site on the day of their visit to prove eligibility.
Meanwhile, Dotsum Amusement Park is also known as the "Golden Pig Island" that brings good fortune. It is a great place to enjoy a walk along the 1.5-kilometer coastal trail, which takes about 40 minutes, with refreshing sea breezes. In October, which is perfect for outings, the city plans to host an autumn picnic event and offer experiential content based on the stories and background of Dotsum Island. In November, attractions such as photo zones linked to the Chrysanthemum Festival will also be available.
