Professor Jeong Euisang's "Understanding Japanese Food Culture" is a liberal arts course that explores Japanese history, society, and culture in depth through the lens of food. It was selected after overcoming fierce competition, with an acceptance rate of about 1.4%, thanks to top ratings in various aspects such as learner satisfaction, completion rate, and the outstanding quality of its content.
The course goes beyond simply introducing Japanese cuisine, offering sociocultural context and humanities-based insights embedded in food. It has consistently received praise from learners as "a course that opens up new perspectives," and has established itself as one of K-MOOC's most popular courses, maintaining high satisfaction and completion rates.
Chosun University has demonstrated its excellent educational capabilities nationwide with this achievement. This recognition is the result of continuous investment in developing high-quality online educational content for learner-centered educational innovation, and is particularly meaningful as K-MOOC has certified it as a "trusted, premium course."
