First, Lotte Distribution Group plans to strengthen its leadership in AI for the distribution sector through collaboration with Naver. Both companies have agreed to work together on Lotte Distribution Group’s AI vision, the “Lotte Distribution Group Agentic Enterprise” transformation. They will gradually consider developing four types of distribution-specialized “Agentic AI” solutions for shopping, merchandising (MD), operations, and business support.
In the shopping sector, the companies aim to improve shopping convenience by combining Lotte Distribution Group’s online and offline networks with Naver’s platform ecosystem. They plan to roll out step-by-step promotions, such as reward programs for payments made with Naver Pay at offline stores like Lotte Mart, Lotte Super, and Hi-Mart, and to link products from Lotte’s offline stores, such as Seven Eleven, with Naver’s quick commerce service “Jigeum Delivery.”
In marketing, the companies intend to use customer analysis powered by Naver Cloud’s AI advertising solution “NCLUE” to expand their market reach. They will also strengthen collaboration in the ESG sector. As a priority, they are considering leveraging Lotte Distribution Group’s offline stores, such as Lotte Department Store, Lotte Mart, and Lotte Super, to help outstanding sellers who have grown on Naver’s platform expand their offline sales channels.
Sanghyun Kim, Vice Chairman and General Manager of Lotte Distribution Group, stated, “We look forward to creating synergy across various fields by combining Lotte Distribution Group’s largest offline infrastructure in Korea with Naver’s digital and AI innovation capabilities. We will continue striving to ensure that Lotte Distribution Group firmly establishes itself as ‘the customer’s first shopping destination,’ achieving sustainable growth not only offline but also online.”
