The Korea Aerospace Administration will host the 23rd Korea Robot Aircraft Competition on September 6 at the Korea Aerospace Administration site in Sacheon, South Gyeongsang Province (Aaron Airship Site).
Jointly organized by the Korea Aerospace Administration and Sacheon City, this competition is the most prestigious domestic event in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles, first held in 2002.
The 10 teams that advanced to the finals successfully passed the first round of development technology planning evaluation (51 teams) and the second round of technical guidance review (24 teams). They will carry out the competition mission: "Vertical Takeoff and Landing Fixed-Wing Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) Rescue Operation."
Various side events will also be held on the day of the finals. In addition to the flight competition among participating teams, there will be a range of citizen experience programs such as drone simulator activities, rubber-powered airplane flying, and making aero rockets. Local residents and visitors are welcome to freely observe and participate in all events.
