The Korea Federation of SMEs announced on the 4th that it will distribute free KakaoTalk emoticons featuring the Yellow Umbrella Mutual Aid characters (Kkumi and Sani).
The Federation has introduced 16 animated emoticons expressing a variety of everyday emotions such as gratitude, love, encouragement, and holiday greetings, using the character 'Kkumi,' which symbolizes small business owners and self-employed individuals who are subscribers to the Yellow Umbrella Mutual Aid, and 'Sani,' the symbol of the Yellow Umbrella Mutual Aid that serves as a reliable umbrella at their side.
Starting at 2:00 p.m. on September 8, the emoticons will be distributed free of charge to the first 100,000 people. Anyone can download and use the Yellow Umbrella character emoticons for 30 days by adding the 'Korea Federation of SMEs Yellow Umbrella' channel on KakaoTalk.
Lee Changho, Director of Mutual Aid Operations at the Federation, said, "Through this emoticon event, we hope to promote the Yellow Umbrella brand widely, provide an enjoyable experience for our small business and self-employed subscribers, and communicate in new ways."
The Yellow Umbrella KakaoTalk channel, which has more than 400,000 friends, provides essential mutual aid news and a variety of welfare service benefits to subscribers faster than anywhere else.

Meanwhile, the Yellow Umbrella Mutual Aid operated by the Federation has had 1.8 million small business and self-employed subscribers since its launch in 2007. It serves as a social safety net for small business owners and self-employed individuals by offering up to 5 million won in annual tax deductions and protecting mutual aid funds from seizure. In addition, subscribers can access a range of welfare services, including free management consulting on legal, tax, and labor issues; member rates at resort facilities; capacity-building education; and group accident insurance.
