Gyeonggi Province to Supply 4,000 Existing Housing Jeonse Rental Units... Applications Accepted Year-Round
Gyeonggi Province is accepting applications on a rolling basis for the 'Existing Housing Jeonse Rental Support Program,' which aims to ensure housing stability and reduce housing costs for low-income households.
Under the Existing Housing Jeonse Rental Support Program, eligible applicants can directly find a house-such as a single-family, multi-household, or multi-unit dwelling-within the national housing size standard (85㎡ or less). Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Development Corporation (GH) will then lease the property and sublease it to the applicant.
GH provides up to 95% of the support, with a maximum limit of 130 million won. For the supported portion, tenants pay an affordable annual rent rate of 1.2% to 2.2%, and they can reside stably for up to 30 years.
Eligible applicants are members of households without home ownership in any of the 31 cities and counties in Gyeonggi Province, including: ▲ recipients of livelihood or medical assistance ▲ single-parent families under protection ▲ seniors aged 65 or older (who are recipients or belong to the next-lowest income bracket).
To apply, residents should visit their local administrative welfare center. Applications are accepted continuously until an official announcement is made regarding the end of the application period.
Since 2005, Gyeonggi Province has supplied a total of 31,733 units through the Existing Housing Jeonse Rental Support Program, with a target of 4,000 units for this year.
