GM Korea's August Sales Up 34%... Strong Export Growth Continues
GM Korea announced on September 1 that it sold 21,059 vehicles in the global market in August 2025, marking a 34.7% increase compared to the same month last year.
Based on finished vehicles, domestic sales amounted to 1,207 units, down 25% year-on-year, while exports rose 41% to 19,852 units.
Notably, overseas sales continued their upward trend for the second consecutive month following July, showing year-on-year growth. Among these, the Chevrolet Trax Crossover (including derivative models) and the Trailblazer (including derivative models) led overall performance, with sales rising by 56.5% and 4.2% year-on-year to 15,693 units and 4,159 units, respectively.
In the domestic market, GM Korea sold a total of 1,207 vehicles in August, with the Chevrolet Trax Crossover leading the results by selling 993 units.
Gustavo Colossi, Vice President of Sales, Service, and Marketing at GM Korea, stated, "In September, we will continue to provide a wide range of customer benefits, such as installment programs and cash incentives, while also meeting the expectations of domestic customers through various marketing activities."
