The city, in consultation with the Siheung Office of Education and Sanhyeon Elementary School, created a sidewalk by granting free use of 78 meters in length and 1 meter in width of the elementary school’s land as public property. As a result of the construction, the sidewalk width was increased to 2.5 meters.
During the project, the city explained that it relocated the school's landscaping stones within the site to secure sidewalk space, thereby saving approximately 140 million won in land acquisition costs.
