Seoul Education Office Launches 'SETI Microlearning' to Master School Administration in Just 10 Minutes
Over 34,000 New Education Support Staff Targeted
203 Practical Courses, Complete in 10 Minutes Anytime, Anywhere via PC or Mobile
The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education Training Institute, under the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education, announced on August 27 that it will launch the "SETI Microlearning" program starting September 1. This program is designed to help staff master the essentials of school administrative work in just 10 minutes. The aim is to provide customized content for adapting to school administrative tasks, enabling learners to focus on and absorb key information in a short period of time.
The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education Training Institute developed this tailored learning content to reduce the burden of complex administrative work and enhance on-site adaptability for newly appointed staff.
This microlearning program is structured around practical tasks, including procedures, forms, and sample screens that can be immediately applied in the field by new education support staff, newly appointed payroll officers, and first-time administrative managers.
The target audience includes approximately 25,000 education support staff, 7,100 general government employees, and 1,900 private school administrative staff, totaling about 34,000 people affiliated with the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education. Anyone can freely access the courses on the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education Training Institute website without separate registration, and the learning hours are officially recognized.
The content is divided into 203 courses covering essential administrative areas such as construction contracts, payroll and compensation, school accounting, public property, and official documents.
All lectures are designed to be around 10 minutes long, allowing for focused learning even in a short time. Learners can repeat courses on their chosen topics via PC or mobile devices, maximizing learning efficiency.
To further enhance accessibility and practicality, the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education Training Institute also operates various platforms. Notable examples include "YouTube Job-Kok," a series of 64 field know-how videos, and "SETI Insight," which offers about 10,000 external content pieces on topics such as AI, trends, and history. Through these resources, learners can select the most suitable learning format as needed.
One key advantage of microlearning is that participants can selectively take courses tailored to their specific situations.
For example, new staff can focus on the basics of official document writing and using the work portal; new payroll officers can concentrate on practical tasks related to the four major insurances and year-end tax settlement; and first-time administrative managers can prioritize learning about construction contracts and hands-on practice with the national procurement system.
This customized learning approach is expected to rapidly strengthen practical competencies and improve support for school operations.
