Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance Unveils 30 Billion KRW Social Contribution Project "Imaeum Campaign"

Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance announced on the 27th that it unveiled the 'Imaeum Campaign' at the '2nd Korea Social Value Festa,' which is hosted by the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry and co-organized by Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance.
The Imaeum Campaign is a social contribution project aimed at supporting healthy and happy lives for parents and children, carried out by the leading company in children's insurance in Korea. The campaign consists of two programs. The first is 'Imaeum Explorers,' a 15 billion KRW public project in collaboration with Professor Chun Geun-Ah of Severance Children's Hospital, which seeks early intervention solutions for children with developmental delays and developmental disabilities.
As a result of the call for proposals that began in June, 175 teams with innovative technologies and methods applied, including AI voice recognition technology to improve children's language and social skills, the development of digital therapeutic devices to support independent living for children with developmental delays and disabilities, and early diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder by analyzing retinal fundus images and EEG data with AI. Of these, 15 teams were finally selected. The selected teams will receive up to 1.7 billion KRW in support, including development and demonstration grants and performance-based rewards.

The second campaign, 'Imaeum Playground,' is a program unveiled for the first time at this Social Value Festa. It is a long-term project to create community spaces for children and caregivers in four local communities. Over seven years, 15 billion KRW will be invested to establish these community spaces, which will serve as venues for various programs and communication for children and caregivers. In these spaces, children will grow through play and cultural arts, while caregivers will have access to high-quality parenting information and time for healing. The established Imaeum Playgrounds will not be one-off projects but will be operated as sustainable and open community spaces for both children and caregivers, in collaboration with the local community.

At the Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance promotional booth set up at the event, the Imaeum Campaign and Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance's parenting support campaign were introduced under the concept of 'Becoming Imaeum.' Experiential content such as making keyrings using upcycled parts, planned in collaboration with Save the Children, an international children's rights NGO, and Kokirifactory, a toy resource circulation company, also attracted much attention.
