Yangsan Branch of the Ministry of Employment and Labor Signs Agreement for 'Gimhae-type Middle-aged and Senior Employment Support'
Five Organizations Join Forces
to Support Baby Boomer Reemployment
and Industrial Transformation in Gimhae
The Yangsan Branch of the Ministry of Employment and Labor (headed by Kwon Guhyung) signed a business agreement on August 26 at the Gimhae Employment Center with five organizations: Gimhae University, Gimhae Middle-aged and Senior Tomorrow Center, Gimhae Senior Job Creation Support Center, Gimhae Women's New Employment Center, and Gimhae Eastern Women's New Employment Center, for 'Gimhae-type Middle-aged and Senior Employment Support.'
This agreement was established to support the second generation of baby boomers who need reemployment due to early retirement and to respond to changes in the local industry and corporate recruitment demand.
The Gimhae region is in urgent need of career transitions and tailored competency development for the middle-aged and senior population, as the mainstay automotive parts industry is shifting to new industries and embracing digital transformation, including artificial intelligence.
The participating organizations plan to identify job roles that match local industry needs, develop customized training programs for the middle-aged and seniors, and discover recruiting companies to provide field-oriented employment services.
