Gijang County in Busan to Host "Social Welfare Week Event" Featuring Experiences and Contests
Encouraging Social Welfare Workers
and Raising Public Awareness in Gijang County
Gijang County (Governor Jung Jongbok) announced on August 26 that it will host the "Gijang Social Welfare Week Event" from September 1 to 12.
This event is organized to commemorate the 26th Social Welfare Day (September 7), raise public awareness of social welfare, honor the dedication of workers in the field, and promote community integration.
This is the first time the event will be held, hosted by Gijang County in cooperation with the Gijang County Council, the Gijang County branch of the Busan Social Workers Association, Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Kori Nuclear Power Headquarters, and the Gijang County Urban Management Corporation.
The main program includes a commemorative ceremony on September 8 at the Kori Sports Center Multi-Purpose Hall. On this day, there will be awards for exemplary social workers and outstanding organizations, a lecture to strengthen social welfare capabilities, commemorative performances, and a variety of other programs.
During the event period, various content will be presented to widely promote Social Welfare Day and highlight the dedication of social welfare workers. A V-log video showcasing the daily lives of social welfare workers will be broadcast throughout the county from September 1 to 12. There will also be a "Warm Connection" Shorts Video Contest, with participation from both agency users and workers. The contest theme is "Small Acts of Sharing," and three outstanding organizations will be selected to receive awards at the commemorative ceremony on September 8.
