Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine to Host 6th Korean Medicine Promotion Content Contest
Creative Songs Showcasing the Value and Appeal of Korean Medicine
Grand Prize: Minister of Health and Welfare Award and 3 Million Won
The Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine will host the 6th Korean Medicine Promotion Content (Song) Contest.
This contest, held under the theme "Songs Capturing the Value and Appeal of Korean Medicine," is open to all citizens.
There are no genre restrictions, and participants must submit an audio file and lyrics of up to three minutes by September 30.
The judging process consists of two stages. In the first stage, experts will comprehensively evaluate the entries based on relevance to the theme, creativity, popularity, and completeness. Afterward, a 10-day public verification period will be held to check for plagiarism or identity theft.
The second stage, an online vote, will take place on the Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine's YouTube channel. During this period, the number of "likes" each entry receives will be reflected in the judging score. The final winners will be determined by combining the expert evaluation and online voting results in a 50:50 ratio.
A total of four songs will be selected: one Grand Prize winner, one Excellence Award winner, and two Merit Award winners. The total prize money amounts to 7 million won. The Grand Prize winner will receive the Minister of Health and Welfare Award and a cash prize of 3 million won. The Excellence Award winner will receive the President of the Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine Award and 2 million won, while each of the two Merit Award winners will receive the President of the Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine Award and 1 million won.
The winning entries will be announced on the Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine website on November 14, and the awards ceremony is scheduled for November 28. Detailed information about the contest can be found in the announcements section of the Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine website.
