Partnering with "Infina"
Accelerating Entry into the Vietnamese Digital Finance Market
Gwangju Bank recently announced that it has signed an investment agreement for a strategic partnership with the Vietnamese fintech platform "Infina."
Infina is a rapidly growing asset management-focused fintech platform in Vietnam, particularly among people in their 20s and 30s who are familiar with mobile and digital environments. The company has previously attracted investments from global venture capital firms such as Y Combinator and Sequoia Capital.
JB Securities Vietnam, a subsidiary of Gwangju Bank, has already achieved significant results through its collaboration with Infina, including a substantial increase in the opening and usage of securities accounts. With this investment, Gwangju Bank aims to further strengthen its cooperation with fintech platforms, accelerate the expansion of its customer base, and diversify its overseas business operations.
In particular, Gwangju Bank plans to focus on the large number of Vietnamese nationals residing in the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions by leveraging local platform networks for marketing. The bank also intends to expand its range of customized financial services for foreign customers planning to enter Korea.
