Daejeon Lifelong Learning Center Receives Minister of Education Award for Talent Sharing Activities
Education through parents' talent donation was selected as an outstanding case in the parents' category and received the Minister of Education Award.
The Daejeon Lifelong Learning Center Parents' Talent Sharing Group received the Minister of Education Award in the parents' category at the '2025 Happy Together School Good Deeds Contest Awards Ceremony' held at the Government Sejong Convention Center on August 22.
The contest is organized by the Ministry of Education to discover exemplary cases from schools through the digital communication platform 'Together School' and to promote a campaign of mutual respect, targeting students, parents, teachers, and schools.
The Daejeon Lifelong Learning Center publicly recruits parents for the Talent Sharing Group, provides them with Habruta expert training, and conducts weekly research meetings to develop programs. In addition, the group visits schools to conduct "play experience" classes for students using picture books and board games, thereby practicing talent donation.
Choi Sijeong, a parent member of the Talent Sharing Group, said, "This is my third year of activity, and my communication skills with my child have improved. By teaching classes at school, I came to understand the teachers' hard work and realized the importance of cooperation with the school."
