Yeoncheon County Holds "First Encounter with Integrity, First Step in Public Service" Anti-Corruption Training
On August 21, Yeoncheon County in Gyeonggi Province held an "Integrity and Ethics Education" session for new public officials in the main conference room of the county office, reaffirming its commitment to fostering a culture of integrity in the public sector and ensuring transparent organizational management.
This training focused on the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act, the Code of Conduct for Public Officials, and anti-corruption case studies. In particular, the program utilized dramas and case analyses to help employees better understand relevant laws, and encouraged reflection on measures to prevent abuse of power and to establish a culture of trust and respect within the organization.
Kim Deokhyeon, the county governor, stated, "In Yeoncheon, where Dasan Jeong Yak-yong spent his childhood, public officials must establish a strong sense of integrity and ownership to ensure that no blind spots for corruption arise for themselves or the organization as a whole. We will continue to promote integrity education and anti-corruption policies to build a trustworthy public sector."
