BNK Asset Management Continues Strong Performance with 'BNK Shareholder Value Active ETF'
High Cumulative Return of 81.59% Achieved
Through Treasury Share Strategies
Amid Government-Led Market Support and
Rising Demand for Shareholder Returns
BNK Asset Management (CEO Sung Kyungshik)'s 'BNK Shareholder Value Active ETF' is currently recording high returns, benefiting from the recent trend of strengthened domestic shareholder return policies.
This ETF achieved a return of 39.34% from the beginning of this year to July 31, 2025, and its cumulative return from its launch on October 24, 2022, to the end of July 2025 reached 81.59%.
This performance is approximately 40% higher than the KOSPI index over the same period, as the ETF generated long-term returns by identifying undervalued companies even before the Korea Value-Up environment was established.
The key feature of the 'BNK Shareholder Value Active ETF' is its focused investment in companies that actively implement shareholder return policies, such as increasing dividends and buying back their own shares. This ETF takes into account not only dividends but also the market effects of treasury shares, making it the first of its kind in Korea. It is recognized for its differentiated investment strategy compared to traditional dividend-focused funds.
A BNK Asset Management official stated, "As demands for shareholder returns have recently increased, the importance of a proactive investment strategy in companies seeking to enhance shareholder value is growing," adding, "Policy benefits such as mandatory cancellation of treasury shares and separate taxation of stock dividends are anticipated, and if related legislation is passed, it is expected to have a positive impact on the performance of this ETF."
