Pulmuone Enters Room Temperature Noodle Market, Expands Noodle Portfolio
Launch of Four Room Temperature Noodles
Fresh Noodle Texture and "Acid Reduction Technology" Set Products Apart
Pulmuone Foods announced on August 22 that it has officially entered the room temperature noodle market by launching four types of room temperature noodles: Jjajang, Jjambbong, Udon, and Kalguksu.
Until now, Pulmuone has focused its noodle meal kit portfolio on refrigerated noodles. The company explained that it has introduced room temperature noodles to expand its business scope and upgrade the noodle meal kit (HMR) market. Room temperature noodles are generally convenient to store due to their long shelf life. Online purchases and stockpiling consumption are increasing, and demand for high-quality room temperature noodle meal kits continues to grow.

The company has achieved a chewy and elastic noodle texture, similar to freshly boiled fresh noodles, which has been difficult to find in room temperature noodles. In addition, Pulmuone has significantly reduced the sour taste unique to room temperature noodles by applying its "acid reduction technology." Room temperature noodles are typically soaked in strong acid to inhibit bacteria for preservation, but Pulmuone has improved this process with new technology. The company has enhanced the quality of the noodles while also preserving the original taste and flavor of the products.
The new products are available in four varieties: two Chinese-style noodles (Jjajang and Jjambbong), Udon, and Kalguksu. The lineup includes "Stir-fried Jjajang with Direct Fire (2 servings, 7,980 won)," "Stir-fried Jjambbong with Direct Fire (2 servings, 7,980 won)," "Katsuo Udon (2 servings, 6,480 won)," and "Anchovy Kalguksu (2 servings, 6,480 won)."
