The results showed high scores for vehicle cleanliness (89.9 points), comfort of the interior environment (87.7 points), door safety (89.2 points), and safe driving (87.2 points). Driver response (86.9 points) and satisfaction with convenience facilities (83.5 points) also received positive evaluations.
On the other hand, seat spacing (61.2 points) and seat comfort (67.4 points) were relatively low, indicating areas for future improvement. There were also requests to enhance stair convenience (68.8 points).
About half of respondents (48.6%) used double-decker buses for commuting, riding an average of 3.8 times per week, with a 75.8% usage rate for upper-deck seats. Additionally, 93.8% said the buses helped alleviate commuting difficulties.
Notably, 97% of respondents expressed their intention to use Gyeonggi Province double-decker buses again. The most common reason for not intending to reuse them was "long intervals between buses" (26.7%).
The seat belt usage rate was 53%. The province plans to strengthen guidance on seat belt use inside buses to increase this rate in the future.
Users also identified seat improvement (52.8%) and ensuring operational safety (48.6%) as top priorities for future initiatives.
Gyeonggi Province plans to reflect the survey results and work with bus operators and manufacturers to gradually implement measures to improve user convenience, including seat structure improvements, adjusting bus intervals, and enhancing facilities for transportation-vulnerable groups.
