Yongin City Signs Agreement with Korea Manifesto Practice Headquarters to Tackle Complex Crises
Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province announced on August 21 that it has signed a business agreement with the Korea Manifesto Practice Headquarters to establish a "Resilient City" capable of actively responding to the climate crisis and social risks.

The main points of the agreement include: ▲ establishing a cooperative relationship for transitioning to resilient city policies ▲ participating in movements for policy transition and dissemination ▲ and jointly carrying out other projects as mutually agreed. The two organizations will operate a regular consultation system through working-level meetings and proceed with collaborative projects.
Lee Sangil, mayor of Yongin City, stated, "With this agreement as a turning point, Yongin will work together with the Korea Manifesto Practice Headquarters to overcome crises such as natural disasters or infectious diseases and enhance our capacity to respond and strengthen resilience."

Previously, Yongin City received an A grade for three consecutive years in the 8th Popularly Elected Administration Pledge Implementation Evaluation, organized by the Korea Manifesto Practice Headquarters. At the recent "2025 National Basic Local Government Heads Manifesto Best Practices Competition" held in Andong, Gyeongbuk, the city also won the grand prize in the field of responding to demographic changes.
