View original imageThe meeting was organized to listen to the difficulties faced by those in the agriculture and fisheries industries due to abnormal weather conditions such as heat waves and rising material costs caused by high inflation, and to discuss solutions to overcome these crises.
During the meeting, participants discussed practical measures on major issues, including strategies to respond to climate change, expansion of support projects closely related to people's livelihoods, and revitalization of the rural economy.
Mayor Jung stated, "Agriculture and fisheries, which are responsible for providing food for our citizens, are more important than any other industry," and added, "I will do my best to establish practical policies that reflect reality so that these sectors can become sustainable growth industries."
At the meeting, Mayor Jung presented commendations to six organization leaders who contributed to the development of the region's agriculture, livestock, and fisheries industries.

Meanwhile, the city has allocated a budget of 211.3 billion won for the agriculture, livestock, and fisheries sectors this year, a 21% increase compared to the previous year, to stabilize the livelihoods of those in the agriculture and fisheries industries.
