Bomb Threat Against Everland Reported; Police Conducting On-Site Search

“All Visitors to Be Evacuated If Threat Detected”
Amid a recent string of 'terror threats' targeting large facilities such as department stores, police are currently searching the premises after receiving a report that a fax threatening to bomb Everland in Yongin had been received.
According to the Yongin Dongbu Police Station, at approximately 10:48 a.m. on August 13, a fax stating "I will bomb Everland" was received by the Daejeon Immigration Office.
After receiving the related report from the Daejeon Immigration Office, the police deployed around 50 personnel, including a special police unit, to the site to check for any explosives.
It has been reported that entry for new visitors to Everland is currently being restricted.

A police official stated, "We are informing existing visitors about the ongoing search through internal announcements," adding, "If any danger is detected on site, everyone will be evacuated."
