[Conference Call] NCSoft Plans to Cut 200-300 Jobs in the Second Half of the Year
"Targeting Overlapping Functions and Inefficient Organizations"
NCSoft will continue its efforts to optimize personnel and costs this year, following similar measures last year.
On August 12, during the company’s second-quarter earnings conference call, NCSoft Co-CEO Park Byungmoo stated, “Last year, we implemented surgical personnel and cost optimization measures. This year, we plan to continue this strategy in a more targeted manner.”
He added, “In the first half of this year, we already optimized around 100 positions through our overseas branches and subsidiaries. In the second half, we plan to streamline an additional 200 to 300 positions, focusing on overlapping functions or inefficient organizations.”
