North Gate Closed, Main and East Gates Remain Open
The court is strengthening security at its premises ahead of the upcoming trial of former President Yoon Seokyeol on charges of leading an insurrection, which is scheduled for August 11, and the pre-arrest interrogation (warrant review) of Kim Geonhee, which is set for August 12.

View original imageThe Seoul High Court, which is responsible for security at the Seoul Court Complex in Seocho-gu, Seoul, announced on August 8 that the north gate of the Seoul Court Complex will be closed from 8:00 a.m. to midnight on August 11, when former President Yoon's insurrection trial will take place.
The main gate and the east gate will remain open, but security checks will be strengthened for all entrants. The same measures will apply on August 12, when Kim Geonhee's warrant review is scheduled.
All assemblies and demonstrations within the court premises will be strictly prohibited, and entry may be restricted for individuals carrying related items. However, there will be no complete restriction on the entry of private vehicles, except for official vehicles.

A court official stated, "In order to avoid any disruption to the proceedings, it is necessary to prepare in advance so that you can enter on time, taking into account possible congestion near the court and the time required for security checks."
