Chonnam National University Hospital announced on August 7 that it had signed an agreement with the Chonnam National University Hospital branch of the Korean Health and Medical Workers' Union regarding the wage and collective bargaining negotiations.
The final agreement was reached based on mutual consideration and trust between the two parties, with the goal of improving employee welfare and creating a stable working environment despite challenging management conditions.
The labor and management agreed to apply the 2025 civil servant salary increase standards, raise the risk duty allowance, and hire additional staff.
Chung Jin, Director of Chonnam National University Hospital, stated, "This agreement goes beyond a simple wage negotiation. It is a promise of mutual cooperation to overcome the hospital's crisis together and to strengthen patient-centered medical services."
