Unique Concert with Zookeeper... Everland to Host "Classic Safari" Music Event
A Classical Concert Featuring Animals, Forests, and Safaris
A Lively Fusion of Music and Animals with Engaging Narration
Performance to Be Held on the 31st at Sejong Center
Everland is offering children a special concert experience with animals.
On August 7, Everland's Experience Innovation Academy, part of Samsung C&T Resort Group, announced that it will collaborate with Sejong Arts Academy to host a unique themed concert titled "Classic Safari," which combines animal stories and classical music. The event will take place on August 31 at the Sejong Center Chamber Hall.
As part of its children's ecological education program "EQube School," the Experience Innovation Academy planned this concert together with Sejong Arts Academy to expand the scope of educational content on flora and fauna for children and to provide a new learning experience that combines music and animals.
During the approximately 75-minute "Classic Safari," audiences can enjoy 14 classical masterpieces themed around animals, forests, and safaris, such as Leroy Anderson's "The Waltzing Cat" and "The Swan," the 13th piece from Camille Saint-Saens' "The Carnival of the Animals." These pieces will be performed by professional musicians on piano, violin, cello, and other instruments.
A highlight of the event is a unique performance featuring a collaboration between a zoo keeper and musicians. Kim Dohyeong, an Everland zookeeper with 18 years of experience, will serve as the concert's narrator. He will share fascinating stories about animal ecology throughout the performance, helping children enjoy and immerse themselves in classical music.
During the concert, grand music will be accompanied by related animal videos, creating a magical atmosphere as if embarking on a safari adventure. In the lobby, a photo zone with animal plush toys will be set up for children to capture precious memories.
Kim Sehyun, head of Samsung C&T Experience Innovation Academy, stated, "We prepared this concert to give children an opportunity to learn about animals and plants through classical music while nurturing their sensitivity and creativity. In the future, we will continue to offer children new learning experiences by collaborating with various fields such as art museums and car circuits."
