Domestic students aged 18 or older who complete school email verification and register an account can use the 'Google AI Pro' subscription free of charge for one year on one personal Google account. Applications can be submitted via a dedicated link from today until October 6. Students who apply will be able to experience advanced features of 'Google AI Pro' for one year, including multimodal search, coding assistance, and video generation.

'Google AI Pro' is a subscription plan based on Google's powerful AI model, 'Gemini 2.5 Pro', and is priced at 29,000 KRW per month. It offers a variety of generative AI tools, such as 'Deep Research', which collects and summarizes information on complex topics; 'NotebookLM', an AI-powered thinking tool that supports five times more AI audio and video summaries; 'Veo 3', which generates eight-second videos with audio from text or image input; and 'Jules', an AI coding agent. In addition, 2TB of storage space is provided.

Furthermore, to promote the use of AI among students, Google will operate the 'Gemini Student Ambassador' program for a total of 100 ambassadors selected from more than 20 universities nationwide. The final ambassadors will participate in an inaugural ceremony on August 11 and, over approximately five months until December, will introduce ways to utilize Gemini and help foster an AI-centered campus culture by producing original content, conducting offline campaigns, and engaging in community activities both on and off campus.

The selected students will be provided with a variety of tools necessary for creating content based on Google AI technology, and some university campuses will also host the 'Street AI Challenge', a hands-on AI event for students. A Google representative stated, "Google will continue to support more students so that they can grow and expand their opportunities through AI."
