View original imageDamyang County in South Jeolla Province (Governor Jung Chulwon) launched the 'Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon Campaign' at the 'SseuDamSseuDam Night Market' held on August 2 at Damyang Market and Damidam Art District, aiming to revitalize the local commercial district.
This campaign was organized to widely promote the consumption coupon system among county residents and to support small business owners and self-employed individuals who are struggling due to high inflation and economic slowdown.
On the day of the event, county officials and merchants from Damyang Market and Damidam Art District participated together, promoting the consumption coupon usage method through banners and information leaflets, and actively encouraging county residents visiting the night market to use the coupons.
As of August 4, Damyang County had distributed consumption coupons to 40,384 out of a total of 43,939 eligible recipients, which is 91.9%. The total distribution amount is approximately 8.8 billion KRW, and the coupons can be used at local affiliated stores such as traditional markets and neighborhood commercial districts, helping to increase merchants' sales.

On August 5, a county official stated, "Through this campaign, we will raise awareness of the consumption coupons and continue various promotional and informational activities so that more county residents can experience the benefits," adding, "We will continue to do our best to restore the livelihood economy so that both residents and merchants can prosper together."
