Galaxy S25 Series Hits 3 Million Sales in Korea in Record Time, Two Months Faster Than Previous Model
Fastest Record Among All 5G Galaxy S Series Models... Achieved in Just Six Months
Samsung Electronics announced on August 5 that the Galaxy S25 series, which was released in February this year, reached domestic sales of 3 million units as of August 1. This record was achieved in just about six months, making it the fastest among all 5G Galaxy S series models released in Korea.
Samsung Electronics set a new record for the shortest period to reach 3 million units sold with the Galaxy S25 series, achieving this milestone more than two months earlier than its predecessor. The company also reached the 1 million and 2 million unit sales marks one to two weeks faster than the previous model after launch.

The inclusion of the personalized artificial intelligence (AI) feature called 'Now Brief' attracted significant attention even before launch. During the pre-sale period, the series recorded 1.3 million units sold, setting the highest pre-sale record in Galaxy S series history.
Samsung Electronics believes that the long-term popularity of the Galaxy S25 series was driven by word-of-mouth about frequently used Galaxy AI features such as generative editing, slow motion, and audio eraser, which were introduced after the launch.
The newly launched 'New Galaxy AI Subscription Club' also contributed to the series' success. This program guarantees up to 50% residual value after one year of subscription, and 3 out of 10 customers who purchased through Samsung.com joined the program.
In the second half of the year, the foldable flagship models Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7, which were released on July 25, have also recorded higher sales than their predecessors. This was due to the thinner design compared to previous models, the user interface (UI) specialized for the foldable form factor, ONE UI 8, and intuitive AI features. The Galaxy Z Fold7 and Flip7 achieved a record-breaking 1.04 million units sold during the pre-sale period, setting the highest pre-sale record in Galaxy foldable series history.
