Asiana Airlines to Operate 162 Mileage Flights on Gimpo-Jeju Route
60 Flights from August 19 to 28,
102 Flights from September 9 to 25
Asiana Airlines will operate 162 mileage flights on the Gimpo-Jeju route until September. This move is interpreted as an effort to maximize the use of mileage before its integration with Korean Air.
On August 5, Asiana Airlines announced that it will run the "Jeju Happy Mileage Week" promotion, offering a large number of mileage seats on 162 flights between Gimpo and Jeju over a total of 27 days from this month through September.
The first phase of the promotion covers flights operating from August 19 to 28, and reservations can be made starting at 9:00 a.m. on August 5. The second phase covers flights from September 9 to 25, with reservations opening at 9:00 a.m. on August 26.
The flight schedule consists of three departures from Gimpo (07:20/14:00/18:50) and three departures from Jeju (08:45/12:10/20:55), including popular time slots with high booking rates. The flights will be operated with two types of aircraft: the A321 and A330.
For domestic mileage tickets, 5,000 miles will be deducted for a one-way economy class ticket, and 6,000 miles for business class. However, for some flights, peak season mileage rates apply, resulting in a 50% additional deduction compared to off-peak periods.
For flights included in the promotion, both mileage redemption and regular paid ticket purchases are available, allowing customers to freely choose between the two options.
