CSAT D-100... Gwangju Office of Education Mobilizes Full Support for Exam Preparation
First Full Implementation of Online Pre-Registration
Concurrent Promotion of School Training and Daily Life Management Strategies
On August 4, one day before the 100-day countdown to the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT), the Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education announced its operational plans for the 2025 CSAT, including the expanded implementation of online pre-registration. The office will also conduct training and information sessions to prevent confusion at test sites, and provide support for students' daily life and study strategies.
Since May, the Office of Education has been inspecting the broadcasting facilities and test rooms of high schools designated as CSAT test sites. On August 7, there will be a training session for high school staff in charge of CSAT operations, and on August 13, an information session for senior teachers in charge of college admissions for third-year students, providing detailed guidance on important points to consider when filling out the application forms.
This year, the online pre-registration system for CSAT applications will be fully implemented in all metropolitan and provincial offices of education nationwide. Students will enter their applications through the CSAT website and pay the examination fee via a virtual account. After pilot operation in some regions last year, the system has been expanded, offering greater convenience and enhanced verification procedures compared to the previous paper-based method. However, after online entry, students are still required to visit the designated registration office in person for identity verification.
Online pre-registration will be available from 9:00 a.m. on August 20 to 6:00 p.m. on September 4. Application writing, submission, and modification will be possible from August 21 to 5:00 p.m. on September 5. The Office of Education plans to distribute the detailed implementation plan for the 2026 CSAT and registration guidelines to each high school and post related information on its website.
The Career and College Guidance Division of the Office of Education emphasized that, with 100 days remaining until the CSAT, it is important for students to shift to practice-oriented study and manage their daily routines. Homeroom teachers for third-year students suggested the following as key strategies: analyzing mock exams, repeated study of past questions, practicing with mock tests based on the actual CSAT schedule, maintaining a regular daily rhythm, and providing emotional support from parents and teachers.
