On July 30, starting at 6:00 p.m., Park personally visited liquor stores, general restaurants, and singing rooms in the Hannam-dong area to conduct a joint inspection of environments harmful to adolescents. This inspection was a measure to prevent adolescents, whose outdoor activities increase during the summer vacation season, from being exposed to various harmful factors.
More than 40 public and private officials participated in the on-site inspection, including Yongsan District Office, Yongsan Police Station, Yongsan District Youth Guidance Council, and Yongsan District Harmful Environment Monitoring Group. They focused on inspecting whether businesses frequently visited by adolescents were complying with laws regarding adolescent entry.
The main inspection items included checking whether notices prohibiting the sale of alcohol and tobacco to adolescents were posted, and whether restrictions on adolescent entry and employment were being observed. If violations were found, on-site guidance was provided, and for businesses with repeated violations, administrative action would also be taken.
Park Heeyoung, together with the Yongsan District Youth Guidance Council and Yongsan District Harmful Environment Monitoring Group who participated in the inspection, directly explained the importance of the Youth Protection Act to business owners and urged voluntary participation from the local community.
