Gwangju Employers Federation to Host August Friday Breakfast Forums with Former Minister Do Jonghwan and Others
The Gwangju Employers Federation announced on the 30th that it will host a total of three Friday breakfast forums in August, inviting former Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Do Jonghwan, under themes such as "Asking the Way to Poetry."
On August 8, the forum will begin with former Minister Do Jonghwan, who served as a member of the 19th, 20th, and 21st National Assembly and is currently active as a poet, speaking on the theme "Asking the Way to Poetry." Former Minister Do also served as the Chairman of the National Assembly's Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee and is a well-known poet to the public, having published numerous works including "You, the Hollyhock" and "The Time Farthest from Noon."
On August 22, Kim Seungnam, Chairman of Joeun Cultural Foundation and former CEO of JobKorea, will give a lecture on the theme "There Is an Invisible Power." As the founder of JobKorea (a job portal) and Joeun System, he also served as the former Korea President of International People to People (PTPI) and as a non-standing member of the National Emergency Planning Commission, and has published works such as "Good Success."
On August 29, singer Namgung Okbun will be invited to give a lecture on leadership in culture and the arts. She is currently serving as a goodwill ambassador for the Gyeonggi Community Chest of Korea and as a goodwill ambassador for UN international education development NGO Onhappy. She has received awards such as the KBS Broadcast Music Awards for Female Singer and the MBC Top 10 Singer Award. She has released numerous songs, including her representative track "Love, Love, Who Said It."
