Changdeokgung Yakbang Open to the Public Until August 17

The Cultural Heritage Administration's Royal Palaces and Tombs Center announced on July 28 that the Yakbang (Royal Pharmacy) at Changdeokgung Palace will be open to the public every Wednesday to Sunday from July 30 to August 17. Anyone visiting Changdeokgung Palace can freely explore the Yakbang. Visitors can also enjoy Omija tea, which is known to have been favored by the Joseon royal family. Tastings will be offered daily at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., with 100 cups available at each session.

The Yakbang was a medical institution within the palace during the Joseon Dynasty, also known as Naeuiwon. The Yakbang located in the Gwonnaegaksa area of Changdeokgung Palace was restored in 2005 and is now used as an exhibition and traditional experience space.
