View original imageSuncheon City in Jeollanam-do announced on July 28 that it will hold a summer peach experience event, featuring the season's representative fruit, at the lawn plaza of the Woldeung-myeon Administrative Welfare Center on August 2.
The event will begin at 10:00 a.m. with a Modumbuk (traditional drum) performance, followed by a variety of hands-on activities and an impromptu singing contest for tourists. Starting from 5:30 p.m., the opening ceremony and a lively celebratory performance are scheduled.
The hands-on programs include peach harvesting, peach peeling and tasting, and making peach preserves, all of which tourists can participate in. Fresh peaches, directly sold by local farmers, will also be available for purchase at affordable prices.
