This project has drawn attention as it is the first in the country to be selected for the Local Revitalization Investment Fund No. 1 project.
The Youth Dream Tower will be a complex featuring 459 dormitory rooms exclusively for workers, as well as a variety of living infrastructure. Its goal is to ensure housing stability and improve the residential environment for young workers.
Gumi City plans to use this as a hub to create a future-oriented industrial complex platform that integrates innovation, culture, research, and residential functions within the industrial complex, thereby transforming the aging first complex into a youth-friendly industrial zone.
This groundbreaking was accelerated through close cooperation among private companies, relevant government ministries, and National Assembly member Koo Ja-geun of the People Power Party.
Starting with the Youth Dream Tower, Gumi City is sequentially promoting various innovative projects, including a culture-leading industrial complex, a defense industry research center, a semiconductor research center, as well as startup spaces and public housing within the complex regeneration zone.
Gumi Mayor Kim Jangho emphasized, "The Youth Dream Tower is a symbolic project that simultaneously addresses the housing problems of young people and strengthens the competitiveness of the industrial complex," adding, "We will do our best to make Gumi an innovative industrial city where companies and people grow together."
