Korea Display Industry Association to Hold Special Transparent OLED Exhibition at National Science Museum in Daejeon
The Korea Display Industry Association announced on July 25 that it will hold a special exhibition utilizing transparent organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) at the National Science Museum in Daejeon. The exhibition will run until October.

View original imageThis exhibition is part of the 'Convergence Display Innovative Product Demonstration Project,' which has been supported by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy since 2023. It was planned to create new markets for transparent OLEDs and to discover potential demand sources.
The exhibition is organized in an interactive format where visitors can participate and experience the displays. By leveraging the unique features of transparent OLED displays, it offers ultra-high-definition visuals and an overwhelming sense of visual immersion. Transparent displays are advanced display technologies that provide a sense of openness to spaces and enable effective information delivery through overlays?visual elements that appear layered?of products and content.

It is expected that transparent OLEDs will be used not only in TVs or information technology (IT) devices, but also in various application fields such as architecture, interior design, and mobility. According to Boston Consulting Group, the transparent display market is projected to reach 12 trillion won by 2030.
