Last year, Gwangju Shinsegae also supported the development of local art by donating 30 million won, and this year, the company continues its sponsorship, faithfully fulfilling its role as a local corporation.
In order to provide opportunities for young local artists, Gwangju Shinsegae sponsored the Gwangju Student Art Competition held in April last year. Thanks to the company's support, the 2025 Gwangju Student Art Competition, following last year's event, was also a great success, with many elementary, middle, and high school students participating. The competition is becoming established as a festival for young local artists.
Lee Donghun, CEO of Gwangju Shinsegae, stated, "We have delivered a sponsorship fund to the Gwangju Art Museum Association to help develop local culture and arts," and added, "As a local corporation, Gwangju Shinsegae will continue to make efforts in supporting culture and the arts, as well as in social contribution activities."
